Holistic Nutrition for Kids with Shannon Simpson (Mindful Meals)
Tuesday, May 5, 10:00-10:45 am
This fun holistic nutrition class will introduce kids to mindful eating, the importance of eating a rainbow of colors and how whole food can feed our brains and help us learn. We will not focus on what is “good” or “bad” but instead what are the foods that make our bodies and brains grow big and strong and the “sometimes foods.” Children will also learn to make a delicious shake.

Nanaimo Unique Kids Organization (NUKO) stood up to stiff competition to win two years free lease of a multi-passenger vehicle from Nanaimo Toyota. The dealership conducted online voting through their Facebook page, which drew a massive response for all three finalists. When the final tally was taken on March 4th, NUKO prevailed. Thank-you to all those who wrote in to support their application.
